About the role

We're not hiring for a language or a framework. We're hiring for people who build things - who have already built things, on their own, because they couldn't help themselves.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and design. You'll work across Nimble client projects as an active member or lead of a project squad, contributing from discovery through delivery, and be expected to show up wherever the work needs you.

What You Will Do

• Be an active member or lead a team of developers in a project squad across a wide range of project sizes

• Decide which technologies to use for front-end and back-end, and define the overall architecture

• Work closely with the Product Owner to keep the backlog efficiently planned and occasionally support technical discussions with clients

• Write clean, composable, and maintainable code for world-class products built for our clients

• Write automated tests to build and maintain the products we deliver

• Do code reviews with your squad members

• Use AI tools as a core part of how you work - not as a shortcut, but as a force multiplier for quality and speed

• Learn new languages and techniques (Ruby, Go, Elixir, and beyond) to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients

• Share knowledge through team rituals and contribute to internal processes and initiatives - Our handbook has been written by the whole team

What We Are Looking For

• Solid professional web development experience - we care more about what you've built than how many years you've been building

• Proven experience leading a team in a project

• Comfortable working across both frontend and backend

• Experience writing automated tests for web applications

• Genuine fluency with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.) - you use them every day and you know when they're wrong

• Product sense: you can reason about what to build, not just how to build it

• You believe great software isn't just code that works - it's code that is reusable, maintainable, secure, and performant

• High agency - you don't wait to be told what to do next; you define the next move

• Evidence of self-directed work - pet projects, side apps, open source contributions, anything you built because you wanted to

• Strong English communication skills

• Currently based in Thailand or willing to relocate to Bangkok
